There are 47 million Americans who are uninsured and the government funded safety net is inadequate. All UK citizens may be entitled to “free entry” into the NHS but, like the shops in the old communist countries, if you do not have private health insurance, the queue is long and the shelves are bare.

Mit den Läden im kommunistischen System haben wir in Deutschland unsere Erfahrungen, zumindest teilweise. Umso unverständlicher, dass sich seitens der Bundestagsabgeordneten aus den fünf Bundesländern (von neu mag ich nicht sprechen) kaum Widerstand gegen die Vermarktwirtschaftlichung des Gesundheitssystems zu beobachten ist. Im Gegenteil: kaum wir irgendwas geplant, was entfernt «wie früher bei uns» sich auch nur anhört (MVZ wie Polikliniken), schon wird es ossig-heimelig. Also auch wenn die Müllverwertung mit sero gut war ist nicht jeder Schritt nach gestern ein Fortschritt.
